HP Compaq 6710s Setup did not find any hard disk

Problem: During instalation setup of Windows XP, on laptop HP Compaq 6710s, "no hard disk" is reported

In BIOS - find option:
SATA NATIVE MODE - must be DISABLED
(it is enabled by default)

you should disable the native sata mode in bios before the setup
